Social Media Manager

Own and grow Shadar's social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, X, and emerging platforms. You'll tell the story of local fashion discovery to a rapidly growing West African audience.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute a content calendar across all social platforms
  • Create engaging short-form video content (Reels, TikTok) showcasing vendor stories, buyer experiences, and fashion trends
  • Manage community engagement — respond to comments, DMs, and build relationships with our audience
  • Collaborate with vendors and micro-influencers for authentic, locally-driven content
  • Track performance metrics and iterate on strategy based on what resonates
  • Identify and capitalize on trending conversations in West African fashion and culture
  • Work with the product team to amplify new features and launches

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years managing social media for a brand, preferably in fashion, lifestyle, or tech
  • Strong portfolio of content you've created — especially short-form video
  • Deep understanding of West African fashion culture and trends
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in a local language (Twi, Pidgin, Yoruba, Hausa) is a plus
  • Experience with social media analytics tools and data-driven decision making
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
  • Genuine passion for local fashion and supporting small businesses

Mobile Engineer (Flutter)

Build and ship features for our Flutter app used by thousands of buyers and vendors across West Africa. You'll work across the full mobile stack — from UI animations to API integration.

What you'll do

  • Develop new features and improve existing ones in our cross-platform Flutter app
  • Collaborate closely with design to implement pixel-perfect, performant UIs
  • Optimize app performance, startup time, and battery usage
  • Write clean, testable code with appropriate test coverage
  • Participate in code reviews and help maintain engineering standards
  • Debug and resolve production issues reported by users

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of production Flutter/Dart experience
  • Strong understanding of state management (Riverpod preferred)
  • Experience with REST APIs, local storage, and push notifications
  • Eye for UI detail and smooth animations
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and app store deployment
  • Bonus: experience with Firebase, Paystack, or ride-hailing API integrations

Operations Associate

Help keep Shadar running smoothly on the ground. From vendor onboarding to delivery coordination, you'll be the operational backbone that ensures every request becomes a successful delivery.

What you'll do

  • Onboard and verify new vendors — visit markets, verify inventory, and build relationships
  • Monitor and resolve delivery issues in coordination with logistics partners
  • Handle vendor and buyer support escalations
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and propose process improvements
  • Collect ground-level insights and share with the product team
  • Help expand into new neighborhoods and markets within launch cities

What we're looking for

  • 1+ years in operations, logistics, or community management
  • Comfortable working in markets and building in-person relationships
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication in English and at least one local language
  • Based in Accra with willingness to travel within Ghana
  • Passion for supporting small businesses and local commerce
